Captain Stan Phillips began fishing the waters surrounding
Destin as a teenager in the early 80's. He was first
employed as a deckhand on the fishing boat Emmanuel
in the summer of 1989. After graduating from the University
of South Alabama with a degree in Marine Biology in
1991, he returned to Captain this boat for the next
eight years.
Captain Stan then purchased, refurbished and began
operating the charter boat Sea Winder in January 2000.
With all of his experience Captain Stan has become a
very good fisherman but he realizes that catching fish
is only a small part of this business. That's why the
entire crew of the Sea Winder strives to treat each
customer in a friendly, courteous, and professional
manner. When you leave the Sea Winder we want to you
leave with not just your fish but with some great memories
that will last a lifetime.
